AppDev needs a path. Infrastructure needs a system. Security and cloud have constraints that don't care about your slide. Somebody has to design the work so it actually lands.
Before founding Swift Innovative Technology, I spent a long time as an operator. Grew infrastructure with a business, not around it. Datacenters, platforms, failover, the unglamorous reliability work.
I care about whether the thing ships, what it costs, and whether it still works after the demo. A tool doesn't replace understanding. A model doesn't replace architecture. The vocabulary changes. The work doesn't.
The work I want more of is the same work at wider scope: messy, multi-team, and consequential. Work that has to survive production, economics, security, and governance. That's where technology strategy becomes execution — and where I do my best work.
